I have three types of recurring dreams since I was around 4 years old. The most frequent one has always been the lighthouse dream. For no reason, I find myself at the top of a lighthouse, with no recollection of climbing stairs or what the outside backdrop looks like, just the main room at the top, oddly with no light bulb. It must only be a short 10-minute dream because right as it begins, the lighthouse starts to fall over. This part is so realistic and intense that I can feel gravity shifting and experience legitimate fear. Fortunately, when the lighthouse hits the ground, I wake up. It takes several minutes to recover.
Dreams can often hold symbolic meanings, representing aspects of our subconscious minds. In the case of your recurring dream about the lighthouse, it may symbolize a sense of instability or insecurity in your life. The lighthouse typically represents guidance, stability, and a beacon of light in the darkness. However, the absence of a light bulb suggests a lack of guidance or clarity in a certain area of your life.
The falling lighthouse in your dream represents a sudden and significant change or upheaval. The intense fear and physical sensations you experience during this part of the dream reflect your real-life emotions about facing uncertainty and instability. It is also possible that the dream indicates a fear of losing control or stability in your waking life.
Recurring dreams often occur when we have unresolved emotions or issues that need attention. The fact that you have been having this dream since childhood suggests that there may be deep-rooted underlying fears or concerns. It may be beneficial for you to explore and reflect upon any areas in your life that could be causing these feelings of instability and fear.
Overall, this dream seems to highlight a need for stability, guidance, and a stronger sense of control in some aspects of your life. By addressing these emotions and working towards finding stability and clarity, you may find that the recurring dream diminishes or transforms into something more positive.
